Role and responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, complete reconciliations and prepare periodic financial statements and forecasts. Support budgets, investigate variances and help strengthen financial controls. The work includes cash-flow and working-capital planning, audit coordination and timely statutory reporting, including tax, pension, health-insurance and workers’ compensation obligations. The accountant also communicates financial information to management and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and experience
A Grade 12 certificate is required, together with a diploma and/or equivalent professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or CA Zambia. Applicants must hold professional membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants and have at least three years of relevant experience in a comparable role. Analytical ability, accuracy, confidentiality, communication and sound professional ethics are expected.
